New display system for MG Rover Group contact centre

UK car manufacturer MG Rover Group has installed two Lumin screens from Ascot Systems to support its operatives in its Longbridge contact centre.

"We needed a 'real time' display system that would be visible to all of our operatives that can report on in-bound and out-bound call statistics," said Matt Dallaway, MG Rover Group's Contact Centre Manager. "It also needs to convey messages to staff; present the latest MG and Rover product information in, for example, television adverts; run DVD programmes, and provide training materials on a just-in-time and just-enough basis."

Having examined a number of wallboards and plasma screens, Dallaway and his team were introduced to Ascot Systems Lumin screen.

"We looked at the Lumin screen, liked what we saw and ordered two 50 inch screens for the Contact Centre," said Dallaway. "They do everything we want. They run television, video and DVD programmes. They link to our corporate and contact centre-specific software to not only make our operatives aware of the relevant call statistics but also to provide them with learning materials and product knowledge updates at their workstations.

"We realise that the working environment is one of the key critical success factors for an efficient, effective and profitable business," he added. "Within the Contact Centre, these Lumin screens should help us to build the optimum working environment - and help us maintain our competitive edge."

Staff feedback about the system - both the screen and the information it displays - is highly positive, according to Dallaway.
