Roffey Park launches new organisational development programme

Executive education provider Roffey Park has launched new programme for HR professionals and line managers who want to enhance their skills and knowledge in organisational development (OD).

Called the OD Practitioner's Programme, the content covers the skills, tools and interventions involved in effective OD. There are three residential development modules - each of which is a stand-alone programme in its own right - that combine to form a comprehensive foundation in OD practice.

"HR practitioners and line managers are increasingly using OD techniques to deal with issues such as managing change, strategy, leadership, talent, restructuring and business processes," said Diane Moody, Director of the OD Practitioner's Programme. "We'll be covering the key skills and techniques of OD and showing how they can be used to unlock business performance."

The three modules will each run over three days. The first, called OD from the Inside Out, examines the origins and role of OD and helps participants to develop the necessary capability, credibility and influencing skills.

The second module, The Organisational Landscape of OD, highlights interrelationships within organisations and the impact of OD interventions upon these. It covers organisational design, cultural drivers, systems thinking, and how work groups and their dynamics affect OD practice.

The third module, Tools for Transformation, highlights the impact of change interventions at an organisational level. It takes a practical approach to collecting and analysing organisational data and will teach participants how to use participative engagement processes such as Appreciative Inquiry.

"Although the core modules are separate programmes, they build on each other to form a complete and directly useful learning experience," said Moody. "The participants will gain support from each other, and from the Roffey staff, as they apply the skills and knowledge in their organisations."

Each module will be delivered in Roffey Park's development centre in St Leonard's Forest, near Horsham in West Sussex.

The complete OD Practitioner's Programme is priced at £5,350 +VAT. The price to attend any one of the three-day modules is £1,950 +VAT. For further information, visit: www.roffeypark.com/open/odp.html
