Home > News > November 2004 > 22-Nov-2004 LSC launch guide to help directors transform their businessThe Learning and Skills Council and the Institute of Directors have launched a guide designed to help directors navigate the skills landscape and target training to improve productivity. The guide, 'Skills: Transforming Business', contains comment, case studies and advice on skills-related topics such as management and training and putting skills at the heart of your business strategy. The guide also shows employers how to use the training support available to them from the Government. The Learning and Skills Council aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises across the country to up-skill their staff through a range of programmes including Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), apprenticeships and Employer Training Pilots.
