Atrium Communications launch TV station in-a-box

Atrium Communications has launched Videocast vcCommunique, which the company says will enable organisations to create their own TV channels with live or pre-recorded video content, and offer the same content as video on-demand.

According to Atrium, vcCommunique allows organisations to build their complete video communications infrastructure, including content upload, capture, archiving, scheduling, multicasting, on-demand streaming, transmission and management of video assets, around a fully integrated browser-based product.

"vcCommunique provides a wide range of functionality for organisations in a variety of sectors," commented Phil Dodds, Group Sales Director at Atrium Communications.

"Administrators are able to access the system administration software from their desktop PC, which allows them to control broadcasts, compile schedules, monitor usage, add content to the system and set access rights for users.

"The administrator need not even have knowledge of the underlying software, as the graphical interface makes the system easy to use."
