Asset Skills launches risk assessment tool

Asset Skills, the Sector Skills Council (SSC) covering property, cleaning services, housing and facilities management, is to launch its Risk Assessment for Cleaning Services interactive DVD on 2nd June 2005.

The DVD, which provides a risk assessment procedure for the cleaning services industry, has been developed by Asset Skills, in partnership with Gossip Multimedia and the British Safety Council. It has received endorsement from the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) and the Cleaning Services and Support Association (CSSA).

According to Asset Skills, the DVD includes:

  • A basic health and safety induction kit for employees
  • Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
  • All due diligence files required for safe operation of your business
  • All relevant Health and Safety Executive guides

The launch will take place at the headquarters of the British Safety Council in Chiswick.

Copies of the Risk Assessment for Cleaning Services DVD are available from Asset Skills, BICSc and CSSA and costs £60 for members of Asset Skills, BICSc and CSSA, and £65 for non-members.
