Home > News > December 2005 > 07-Dec-2005 GoSkills launches employer engagement campaignGoSkills, the Sector Skills Council for the passenger transport sector, has launched a new campaign designed to help employers in the sector to improve their skills, performance and profitability. Peter Huntington, GoSkills' Chief Executive, said: "Opening Doors is all about what we do. We have a team of regional business advisers based across the country who provide practical advice on business issues, skills, qualifications, training and funding opportunities direct to employers and operators." "We also carry out research to identify the skills needs of the sector's industries and investigate issues affecting the sector such as recruitment and retention. Opening doors to opportunities and resources and opening minds to new concepts is our goal for this campaign." According to GoSkills, the Opening Doors campaign goals are to:
The campaign was launched at last week's Integrated Transport Conference & Exhibition at the ICC Birmingham.
