Third Eye offers 360° appraisals online

Third Eye Resolutions has launched a new website that allows businesses and individuals to buy 360° appraisals 'off the shelf'.

360° appraisals give companies and individuals the opportunity to get feedback from all tiers of a company, including management, subordinates, co-workers and peers, said Third Eye Resolution director Pat McKenzie.

"Using these all round appraisal systems is a great idea for any company or individual who wants to progress and develop their skills," she said.

"But until now implementing an appraisal system has meant working with a consultant, installing specialist IT systems and duplicating activity carrying out extensive and unnecessary research to identify competencies.

"We have developed an off the shelf, web based system which allows companies and individuals to buy online and start their appraisals within minutes."

According to Third Eye, the system is very straightforward: The customer selects an appropriate appraisal package, for example a team leader assessment, and pays on-line. They fill in a self perception questionnaire then chose six people to give them feedback. The system sends the six people an e-mail link to a multiple choice survey. When the surveys are completed, a report is generated which is available to download along with a workbook to work thorough the findings of the report.

"Because the surveys are based on competencies - the behaviours which make a successful employee in that area or at that level, rather than the skills required for the job, it can be used by any company or individual," said McKenzie.

"And it gives objective feedback which is totally anonymous so people can see what the real perception of their strengths and weaknesses are and start to work on them.

"Plus it can be used as a stand alone system or slot into an existing programme for companies with an established HR function."
