The IET says the web-based tool, which uses InfoBasis' Enterprise Skills Infrastructure platform (ESI), will enable individuals to update their progress online, and identify areas of development needed to become a Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or an Engineering Technician. Sandra Godman, professional development manager at the IET, said: "We want to encourage engineers to follow an ethos of continuous development. "Career Manager will make the route to professional recognition easier for engineers, and allow them to clearly see their whole career progression."
