Based on InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Infrastructure, Thomson NETg says the Skills Now platform can analyse skills gaps against a suite of ready-to-go competency models, including the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA). Training can then be deployed to help rectify these skills gaps, though a combination of e-learning and instructor-led interventions. Joe Marcelle, UK managing director at Thomson NETg, said: "Enterprises will be able to understand the training needs of their personnel and ensure the right people have the right skills, all in one service. "Skills Now is comprehensive, quick to use and available immediately. It addresses customer demand to help identify training needs and have solutions which support their talent management strategies." Ashley Wheaton, CEO of InfoBasis, said: "Organisations now understand the imperative to incorporate skills management into Employee Performance Management. Skills Now makes this easy and efficient. HR directors will be able to identify precisely what training is required and satisfy that need instantly. This is key in helping HR directors take a more strategic approach to selecting training for company personnel."
