Asset Skills seeks feedback from cleaning industry

Asset Skills wants cleaning companies to give their views on the industry's skills issues at a series of roadshows taking place in September.

Asset Skills, head of research, Sally Walters said: "The roadshows will provide ideal networking opportunities running alongside the workshops that have been designed for employers to voice their views and have a real impact for the development of skills and qualifications specifically for the industry."

Asset Skills, the Sector Skills Council for the property, housing, facilities management and cleaning sectors, intends to use the information gathered from the roadshows to help assess current and future skills needs to reduce skills gaps and shortages.

The road shows being run from 8.30 -10.00am on the following dates:

• Belfast - Tuesday 5 September 2006
• Guildford - Wednesday 6 September 2006
• London - Thursday 7 September 2006
• Leicester - Tuesday 12 September 2006
• Birmingham - Wednesday 13 September 2006
• Bristol - Thursday 14 September 2006
• Newcastle upon Tyne - Tuesday 19 September 2006
• Edinburgh - Wednesday 20 September 2006
• Leeds - Thursday 21 September 2006
• Cambridge - Tuesday 26 September 2006
• Manchester - Wednesday 27 September 2006
• Cardiff - Tuesday 3 October 2006
