Home > News > January 2007 > 09 January 2007 Skills Council adds to board of directorsSkills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industries, has announced three appointments to its board of directors. The new board members are Paul Brooks - Sales Director at Unipart Logistics, George Inch - Managing Director of DHL Container Logistics (UK) Ltd and Brigadier John Wallace OBE - Commandant of the Defence College of Logistics and Personnel Administration. Ian Hetherington, chief executive of Skills for Logistics, said: "We are pleased to welcome such a wealth of experience to our board of directors. Each new member brings expertise in a discrete area that will compliment existing members and ensure that Skills for Logistics addresses continuous professional development needs across the logistics industries. "We are encouraged by the commitment of our board of directors (both new and existing) to the development of this employer led organisation ensuring the future of UK logistics' place in a global economy."
