What's trending in training?

The Centre for People Development (CfPD) will be asking attendees at this week's Learning and Skills Exhibition for their views on what's trending in the training world - and what's not - in 2011.

CfPD is conducting research into the current thinking on what's popular and what's not and this includes inviting attendees at Learning and Skills 2011 to take part in an online survey, the results of which will be collated and published in mid-February 2011.

In their survey, the team are looking to see what the trends are for:

  • e-Learning and mobile learning
  • Bite size sessions
  • 2-3 day classroom-based courses
  • Informal learning (Twitter, Facebook and other social media)
  • Management development programmes
  • Coaching and mentoring

Gail Winwood, a director at CfPD says: "In today's fast moving and cost-conscious business environment, organisations are looking for new and exciting ways to help their learners learn. We are interested to see what these trends may be."

Learning and Skills 2011 is co-located with the Learning Technologies Exhibition and Conference and takes place on 26-27 January 2011 at Olympia 2, London. The CfPD team will be on Stand 185 at the Learning and Skills exhibition.
