WebLearn will use the product to help its customers measure and report on the impact of their learning initiatives on company business and performance objectives. "SumTotal continues to be a strong partner for Web Learn in supporting our commitment to making our customers successful," said Gaetano Fabiano, commercial director at Web Learn. "Today, companies are challenged more and more to demonstrate ROI from the infrastructure investments they make. SkillSoft announces SAIL partner programme SkillSoft has created the SkillSoft Alliance for Integrated Learning (SAIL), a programme for SkillSoft technology partners designed to promote seamless integration among learning content resources, learning management systems, and other learning technologies. Charter members of SAIL include Oracle, Pathlore, Plateau, Saba, SumTotal Systems, and THINQ. Program benefits include access to SkillSoft's interoperability lab, access to SkillSoft's product roadmap for product planning, sales and support training, technology exchanges, and participation in special advisory boards. "SkillSoft has always been committed to developing its content according to the evolving industry standards," said David Vickrey, vice president of alliances and corporate development for SkillSoft. "The SAIL program is an extension of these efforts. As learning becomes part of the fabric of almost every enterprise, integration becomes increasingly important - and expected. While integration is facilitated by SCORM, AICC, and other guidelines, such standards do not guarantee interoperability. Learning vendors must do additional development work to deliver the seamless learning solutions demanded by customers today."
