New OU Business School Dean takes up his post

Professor James Fleck has taken up his post as the new Dean of the Open University Business School.

Professor Fleck – the former head of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group at the University of Edinburgh Management School – said, "The combination of the School’s programmes, open learning methods and international accreditation makes the OU Business School a dominant player in the UK and international business education markets. With the further development of information and communication technologies, I believe the School is well-placed to play an even more important role in the future."

Fast Lane appoint new operations director

Fast Lane Consulting and Education Services has appointed Paul Hutchinson as operations director. Hutchinson will be responsible for scheduling Fast Lane's Cisco training fot the UK market and coordinating and delivering a European Cisco training programme.

"For the past 7 years, he has worked exclusively within the Cisco training space, withstanding and managing many periods of transition and change including numerous acquisitions and mergers," commented Peter Olive, managing director, Fast Lane. "He has held high profile roles for a number of Cisco Learning Solutions Partners and has worked hand in hand with Cisco to deliver significant training projects throughout the UK and Europe - so he is the perfect candidate for this challenging role."
