World Bank selects e-learning suite from WBT Systems

The World Bank has selected the TopClass e-Learning Suite from WBT Systems to help manage, develop and deliver training to 10,000 employees and client organisations around the world. The deployment is part of a larger effort to integrate knowledge and learning in the Bank into a single point of access through the Knowledge and Learning Environment (KLE) project.

TopClass will be used to link learning activities to annual learning plans and learning roadmaps, based on the Bank’s business and strategic objectives. Phyllis Pomerantz, Chief Learning Officer at the World Bank in Washington said, "e-Learning is an important building block to continuously leverage the World Bank’s effectiveness in the fight against poverty"

Fellowship appointment a "complete suprise"

Janet Parker, a Director with ibp Scotland, has been appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership Management.

"The fellowship came as a complete surprise as a Regional Manager for the Institute processed the nomination without me knowing about it," said Parker. "I’m really delighted to be recognised in this way by my peers and it’s a great feeling to realise that your work is appreciated".

Parker has over 15 years experience of working in the training industry following her graduation in History and Politics from the University of London.
