Saba to acquire THINQ

Saba announced yesterday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire THINQ Learning Solutions, Inc.

The transaction has been approved unanimously by the Boards of Directors of both companies and is expected to close within 60 days, subject to customary closing conditions.

BrightWave appoints new director and board member

BrightWave has announced that Sambit Mohapatra will join its management board as director of sales and marketing on 4 April 2005.

Commenting on Mohapatra’s move from Tata Interactive Systems, Charles Gould, Managing Director for BrightWave, said: "Sambit brings a highly impressive track record of building business in the UK and Europe and he will be driving sales to support our ambitious plans for growth and expansion of the products and services we offer."

Matchett Group at MELT

The Matchett Group is exhibiting at the MELT (Middle East e-learning Technology) Forum on 5-6 April at the Madinat Exhibition Centre at Jumeirah, Dubai.

Marco Zuliani, Matchett Group EMEA business development manager, will be presenting at the conference. His presentation is entitled 'Successful adoption and added value of e-learning for Small, Medium and Large organisations'.

New appointment to board of food and drink Sector Skills Council

Graham Randell, the Northern Managing Director for Greggs the bakers, has joined the board of Improve, the food and drink Sector Skills Council, as a Non-executive Director.

The board of Improve, chaired by Paul Wilkinson, comprises representatives from the food and drink sector, including employers and trade associations, as well as individuals from the Learning and Skills Council and the Food Standards Agency.
