Global Knowledge pledges success for Cisco skills and certification with new guarantee programme

Global Knowledge has launched its Expert Guarantee programme in the UK in a bid to help customers control the costs of training programmes as well as pledging to skill delegates to an agreed level.

Currently available on the core 16 Cisco courses, Expert Guarantee supports delegates until they pass whichever certification they are sitting, or have attained the knowledge level set by their employer.

The Expert Guarantee package, which is effectively an insurance premium on the delegate's success, includes a variety of services offered by Global Knowledge within competence development which includes pre- and post course assessments, IT library, e-Learning, e-Labs, mentoring, instructor led courses, and examination vouchers if required.

The programme has three stages. At the first level delegates take a pre-course assessment with the results identifying specific knowledge areas that need to "be improved" to ensure that the participant eventually passes the certification test or attains a certain level of knowledge. This is followed by the relevant e-learning and classroom course after which a post-assessment is taken. The post-assessment results validate the knowledge areas that the student has gained during the programme and may identify "knowledge gaps" that need to be closed prior to taking the certification test. Global Knowledge offers the relevant support to get to a level of competency.

If a delegate fails at the first stage, either in post-assessment or the examination itself, then Global Knowledge will again pre-assess and assign the relevant course material/ support to fill the apparent skills gaps. At the second stage it will also provide access to a mentor to ensure the delegate receives one to one personal support as well as being kept interested and motivated. At the end of this stage another post-assessment is taken and those ready will go on to sit the certification examination.

This can be repeated a third time after which, if a delegate is still not achieving the set level of attainment, a discussion will occur around expectations and next steps. The option to resit the classroom is offered at this stage. In essence, the cycle can be repeated as many times as required.

"Expert Guarantee is a great concept for employers and their delegates alike, both of whom can count on achieving the required knowledge and/or certification in return for the time, money and effort invested in training" said Suzanne MacDonald-Carr, Sales Director, Global Knowledge UK. "By making knowledge the focus, Global Knowledge can guarantee success at whatever level its customers require - be that a certification or organisation specified attainment level; as well as providing a cost-efficient, stimulating and challenging training programme."

Global Knowledge Expert Guarantee is available on all 16 Cisco Career Certifications on an associate and professional level on CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIP and CCSP.
