BCS partners with Parity to help raise industry standards

IT training provider Parity is offering a year's free subscription to the British Computer Society (BCS) to all delegates who successfully complete one of its Information Systems Exam Board (ISEB) qualifications.

"In today's competitive IT market, it's not just about having the right skills," said Paul Turner, business development director at Parity's Training Division. "Becoming a BCS member opens up a number of networking opportunities, as well as enhancing an individual's employment portfolio.

"With access to a wealth of knowledgeable IT professionals, BCS membership can increase the depth of expertise that technical staff may access, as well as aiding career progression. We have a highly successful long-term partnership with the BCS and we're keen to support them in encouraging professional membership."

Parity is offering one year's British Computer Society associate membership for successful Parity delegates who achieve the following ISEB qualifications:

  • Business Systems Development Diplomas
  • IS Consultancy Practice
  • Certificate in Project Management
  • Information Security Management
  • Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management

Parity, who have been awarded 'trusted source' status following acceptance into the BCS' new Corporate Professional Programme, are also nominating its own employees to join the BCS. All Parity consultants who are internally assessed to have the appropriate skills and competencies will be able to become professional members of the Society.

"The BCS is committed to developing IT professionalism and we are actively seeking to work with all major IT companies and organisations that share this commitment," said Colin Thompson, deputy chief executive of the BCS. "Parity very clearly agree with our ambitions and we are delighted to have their support."
