QA launches competency training portal to support Microsoft channel

Microsoft Gold Partner QA has launched a dedicated training portal, called QA Direct to support the mandatory certification of Microsoft Partners.

The launch comes in response to the requirement for Microsoft channel Partners to renew their Competency status by 31 January 2005.

"QA is a Microsoft Partner too so we understand the challenges that the Partner community faces," commented Jon Shepstone, Head of Strategic Alliances at QA. "Microsoft has raised the bar for Partner certification. QA recognises the investment required by partners and QA Direct is a dedicated, cost-effective route to achieving Microsoft Competencies."

The dedicated Channel portal provides a training road map for the compulsory re-skilling of Partners. Competency certification requirements are linked to training courses provided by QA at a special partner rate.

Resources including white papers and seminar invitations that support the Competencies are available to Microsoft Partners.

"QA has been working closely with Microsoft on our Partner Readiness Programme and has a deep understanding of partner requirements," commented Alex Keay, Group Manager, Partner Readiness, SMS&P. "QA has proven its capability to deliver Microsoft Solutions and now Channel Partners will benefit directly from QA's expertise."
