QA’s SharePoint Summit comprises two hands-on workshops, aimed at both administrators and developers. The five-day courses are being held as part of the QA Academy Technical Summit series in Ascot, Berkshire. According to QA, the authors of 'SharePoint Products and Technologies Resource Kit' will cover everything from what SharePoint will and won't do, through to suggesting solutions for specific problems. Bill English, author of eight books on SharePoint, will present the Administrator level workshop, while Todd Bleeker will look at SharePoint from a developer's point-of-view. Thomas Lee, chief technologist at QA, said: "As a tool, SharePoint can give significant benefits if implemented properly, and can really jump start collaboration within a business. Allowing staff to work more closely together by allowing simple and straightforward access to shared information, as well as creating an effective storage system, the technology brings together the best of Microsoft's solutions to aid business collaboration. By coming along to these workshops, delegates can get a head start to make sure their business is getting the most from this technology."
