Microsoft Business Solutions recently reported a 17 per cent quarterly growth rate compared to previous years. The company says it is this growth that is driving demand for experts qualified on its Microsoft Dynamics line of financial, customer relationship and supply chain management products. Microsoft delivers ongoing Microsoft Dynamics training and certification courses through Microsoft Certified Partners for Learning Solutions (CPLS). Over the past nine months, Microsoft says it has introduced training academies across the region, with CPLS in each country creating bespoke certification programmes to enable individuals to qualify in an accredited competency at an accelerated pace. The company says individuals can choose from university-based classes, fast-track training courses for experienced technicians, online training and summer school programmes. "As our business grows we are ensuring we have the capacity to train qualified professionals to provide customers with the implementation advice and support that they need," said Cesar Cernuda, senior director, MBS Sales and Services, Microsoft EMEA. "Microsoft's training and certification programmes are part of our commitment to our partners and customers, and we have worked closely with Microsoft Certified Partners for Learning Solutions across the region to develop a number of unique training programmes to meet this increased demand for accelerated training on Microsoft Dynamics products." In Belgium, Plataan achieved its CPLS certification status nine months ago and has already rolled out a number of training courses to educate both Microsoft partners and customers on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. "We are enjoying unprecedented demand for training on Microsoft Dynamics applications," said Vincent Bellefroid, a consultant at Plataan. "By developing our training on actual business scenarios and ensuring our courses include both theory and practical elements we ensure our graduate certified consultants can deliver both strategic consultancy as well as daily operational guidance." In the UK, Microsoft has also partnered with Sheffield Hallam University to deliver Microsoft Dynamics MBA and MSc courses. These qualifications, which will begin in September 2006, are aimed at business and technical professionals who have identified the need for an understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics product suite. In France, Microsoft says training programmes have been run directly by Microsoft system integrator partners to recruit and train the professionals required to meet the growing customer base. Microsoft adds that interactive learning sessions with qualified professionals are also available through Microsoft Office Live Meeting. These sessions are managed by partners such as Ibitec and Jönsson & Lepp in Sweden. In the Netherlands, CPLS Watermark-Education introduced a remote training programme aimed at young students wishing to certify on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and AX. Microsoft says eleven students have already graduated from this two-month accelerated programme and have all taken up positions with Microsoft Dynamics partners. "The Microsoft Business Solutions academy programme has been highly successful across the EMEA region, with partners in Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden and the UK all receiving positive feedback from graduates," said Cernuda. "With such high-quality training based on both theory and practical application we are able to ensure that customers who employ Microsoft Dynamics certified consultants can rely on their depth of knowledge to maximise the impact of their Microsoft Dynamics products."
