Novell offers portable training for SUSE Linux Enterprise

Novell has announced a new training course for SUSE(R) Linux Enterprise 10 which is self-contained on a portable USB drive.

Novell says the SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 First Class course provides users with a first look at the upcoming SUSE Linux Enterprise 10, including both the new server and desktop products.

Novell demonstrated the USB-based training course at its BrainShare conference in Salt Lake City in March, completely selling out its beta kits at the event.

Novell also offers an instructor-led training version of the course which is available at selected venues in Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific.

"SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 is setting a new benchmark for a commercial Linux distribution, and our innovative approach - putting the complete initial training course on a USB drive, which we believe is an industry first - sets a new bar for ease of use of training, as well," said Daniel Veitkus, vice president for training services at Novell.

"Students can simply plug this into their computer and, via a virtualized machine experience, gain quick hands-on experience on the new platform."
