The LSE, which has over 1500 staff and 7500 students in London's Aldwych, is using Watsonia Publishing's InFocus series courseware for both instructor-led training and as a knowledgebase available to staff and students on the LSE's intranet site. The LSE's IT training manager, Amber Miro, said: "Following the decision to upgrade, our training team undertook a full audit of IT training provision to determine the scope of training required for Office 2003, and the most effective means of delivering it to staff and students across the School." "We conducted a rigorous assessment of proprietary courseware over a four month period. This resulted in the selection of Watsonia Publishing as the product which best meets the evolving needs of LSE staff and students, and offering excellent value for money. Shortly after selection, we were delighted to see Watsonia becoming the first courseware provider to be fully accredited by the Institute of IT Training." To date, over 30 staff and student courses have been designed and developed using Watsonia Office 2003 courseware, together with online guides and workshops, in readiness for their launch at the start of the academic year.
