All aboard as Rok delivers IT training to staff

Building and maintenance firm Rok is using three mobile training units supplied by PC Coaching to roll out an IT training programme to staff.

Complete with Rok branding, the mobile IT suites have been used for a six-week nationwide tour of Rok offices taking training to over 1700 Rok employees.

The coaches were used to help staff learn more about the firm's new intranet system called Roknet. In addition to providing access to the company's processes and guidelines, the system features a zone where colleagues can post news and views, and lets users personalise the site to suit their own role in the business.

Mike Perry, Rok change director, said: "We regularly use innovative ways to develop the business - this latest scheme allows us to do just that.

"The mobile IT units are equipped with the latest computer training tools, so our people can learn more about our new intranet system in a tailor-made environment, in a cost-effective way, which is both cost and time effective.

"The Roknet tour demonstrates our commitment to training our people, and our desire to make training engaging and enjoyable."
