Content Master implement InfoBasis skills management solution

InfoBasis Limited has announced that it has supplied Content Master, a technical authoring company, with a web-hosted version of its Enterprise Skills Infrastructure (ESI), to manage the resourcing of staff for content development projects.

As specialists in the production of high-end technical and business oriented content, Content Master works closely with its customers to produce technical materials and training solutions that meet these customers' requirements. Operating with a combined model of full-time and associate resources, Content Master has entered the profiles and skills of its large team of IT professionals onto the InfoBasis ESI, to help it enable quicker and more accurate identification of specific professionals who can be assigned to research projects, depending on their particular IT expertise.

"Because we service the increasing demand for leading edge technical content, we have to be at the forefront of technical innovation at all times. By using a skills management solution such as InfoBasis ESI, we can easily view résumés and skills profiles, so that we can deploy our best-suited staff to each project and ensure that we consistently deliver high quality materials on time and to budget," commented Rob Bracewell, Resourcing Manager at Content Master.

By using InfoBasis ESI, Content Master aim to streamline its recruitment drive and develop a tailored competency framework, which can identify recruitment and training needs and quickly assess its consultants' competencies. This will determine whether individuals should be hired on a full-time basis or as associates on any given project, at any given time. All associates with skills relevant to up-and-coming roles can now be identified quickly and any gaps in resources will be simultaneously identified and augmented through the external hiring process.

Content Master will also be using InfoBasis ESI for the management of its workforce's résumés. Each full- and part-time associate will have his or her résumé stored on the InfoBasis ESI, not only making it easy to identify specific staff for specific projects, but also enabling Content Master to provide the customer with the résumés of the associates assigned to each project. Content Master will eventually use InfoBasis ESI for résumé generation and all associate profiles will be put into a standard template within the infrastructure.

"The detail that InfoBasis ESI provides and the project management methodology we employ, ensures that we have a real-time view of our intellectual capital and can further develop, train and support our principals, technologists and writers," continued Bracewell.

Ashley Wheaton, CEO at InfoBasis explained, "InfoBasis ESI's functionality will allow Content Master to better understand the skills of each individual and provides a single framework for project deployment, résumé management and recruitment processes. Our solution will assist Content Master in maintaining its market-leading position, as well as improving the service it delivers to its customers. We believe that InfoBasis ESI will provide the company with greater efficiency and effectiveness, which will in turn be passed onto its customers. We are delighted to be able to add Content Master to our customer portfolio."
