Sir Gerry Robinson and Greg Dyke at CIPD conference

Business leaders Sir Gerry Robinson and Greg Dyke are to debate a range of business issues in a session at this month's Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's Annual Conference and Exhibition.

The session, entitled 'World Class Business', will be chaired by broadcaster Jeremy Paxman and is expected to cover topics such as leadership, formulating a strategy for the future and techniques and skills required to run a successful business.

Sir Gerry Robinson said: "Management skill is at the heart of a successful company and good management is a combination of two things – leadership ability and good judgment.

"Management is the secret of success and good leadership is essential for a business to thrive. Organisations need leaders that make a difference you cannot have great management without great leadership."

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's (CIPD) Annual Conference and Exhibition will take place from Tuesday 18 September to Thursday 20 September in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. There is also a pre-conference day on Monday 17 September on employment law.
