The qualifications, 'Exploring Business Enterprise', 'Preparing for Business Enterprise' and 'Starting Your Enterprise', aim to give individuals the opportunity to explore the purpose, functions and operations of a successful enterprise. David Pardey, senior manager, policy and research at ILM said: "If you're interested in the idea of setting up or working in an enterprise but not completely sure about what it will require in terms of your time and skills, taking an easy to access ILM qualification such as Preparing for Enterprise will ensure that you can assess your own readiness for the role and help you develop the knowledge and skills required to succeed." The ILM says there are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be seriously considering starting their own business/enterprise, and have a business/enterprise idea on which to base their development.
