Aimed at senior directors and managers, and HR and learning and development staff, Unlimited Potential says the taster workshop will encourage 'whole brain thinking' - using the analytical left side and the creative right side together - for better communication, more innovative problem-solving and improved teamwork. David Adams, an associate coach at Unlimited Potential, will facilitate the event. He said: "Research has shown creativity and innovation lead to an improved bottom line in business. "Poetry, which combines structured thinking with creativity, unlocks the creative mind and enables 'whole brain thinking' - a more powerful and complete way of thinking. "Many business leaders and managers get too bogged down by logical and analytical thought processes. "By freeing up an individual's innate creativity and innovative abilities, companies will benefit from better decision-making; more inspired solutions; imaginative planning; improved results, performance and communication; and a more engaged workforce. "The poetry workshop also encourages openness, which fosters dynamic and constructive debate within business. This openness is great for improving teamwork. "Experiencing their thoughts, feelings, ideas and suggestions clarifies how people can change, for example, their attitude or business culture, or help resolve a work issue." The Unlocking Creativity taster workshop takes place at One Aldwych hotel, London, and starts at 8.30am and finishes at 11am. The cost is £45 per person. Unlimited Potential says places are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
