Launched in 2002, Renault Trucks' Apprenticeship Programme includes technicians, parts advisors, auto electricians and vehicle sales, offering Technical certificates (VRQs); NVQs and Key Skills qualifications. The RAC will take over as Renault Trucks' training partner in October 2007 and will be responsible for selecting applicants, training, reporting, on-site visits and assessments, as well as liaison with managers. Brian Burns, training and development manager, Renault Trucks UK Ltd., said: "The RAC has an excellent track record in dealer technician and apprentice training. With a success rate at twice the national average, they have proved that they have the capability and expertise to deliver a successful training programme. "The RAC is also able to offer regional training which is a great benefit to our dealer network and we are very much looking forward to developing a strong partnership with them."
