Home > News > September 2006 > 07 September 2006 National standards in sales and marketing launchedThe Marketing and Sales Standards Setting Body (MSSSB) launched their national standards in marketing, marketing communications and sales at the Royal Society of Arts in London on Tuesday. In support of the launch, the Chartered Institute of Marketing has produced a webcast of the event, including comments from Sir Digby Jones, which can be accessed now from: www.cim.co.uk/standards Paul Gostick, chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, said: "The Chartered Institute of Marketing applauds the launch of the professional standards by the Marketing and Sales Standards Setting Body which is an important milestone for the marketing profession. "The Chartered Institute of Marketing is committed to establishing industry-wide marketing and sales standards which will provide comprehensive guidance to businesses and other organisations about the skills required at all levels in these two critical business functions." Chahid Fourali, Head of MSSSB, said: "The co-operation of everyone involved in marketing/marketing communications and sales will ensure that we can disseminate these world-class professional benchmarks to maximise professional practise and to influence government, education providers and all those working in these areas"
