The company says the course covers all the basics of press release writing, together with tips for distribution, and is led by Robert Shepherd, Press Dispensary's co-editorial director. Course topics include: identifying company news, creating headlines and photo captions, avoiding jargon and marketing-speak, writing quotes for spokespeople, devising a house style, editing copy, distribution and online publication. Jo Chipchase, Press Dispensary's editorial director, said: "Many of the skills imparted by the course are easy to learn and can significantly improve the quality of press releases and other company documents. "The course focuses on how to write sound copy while avoiding the common errors and oversights that can all too easily result in a press release being consigned to the bin." The announced PR Copywriting course dates are as follows:
Press Dispensary says prices start from £175 plus VAT per trainee, and discounts are available for early bookings.
