The Chartered Institute of Marketing graduation 2008

Over 1,250 graduates and their guests from around the world are expected to attend the Chartered Institute of Marketing's graduation ceremony which takes place at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on 12 November 2008.

Now in its fifteenth year, the event celebrates the achievement of those students who have passed the Institute's Professional Postgraduate in Marketing, Professional Diploma in Marketing, Diploma in Professional Sales and Advanced Certificate in Key Account Management.

The graduation ceremony will be addressed by Sir Paul Judge, president of the Institute. The deputy lord mayor of Birmingham, councillor Randal Brew, will also be in attendance along with the Institute's Academic Senate.

Keith Fletcher, director of education at the Chartered Institute of Marketing, said: "Graduation is an important milestone for our students and provides formal acknowledgement of their hard work and dedication to developing their marketing knowledge and skills.

"In the challenging times we now face, our professional qualifications will stand these graduates in good stead to develop and advance their careers."

The Institute has held a graduation ceremony for students since 1994, and has been awarding qualifications since 1928.
