Home > News > January 2010 > 19 January 2010 Institute offers free training course tastersThe Chartered Institute of Marketing is participating in the TFM&A (Technology for Marketing and Advertising) event on 23 and 24 February 2010, at London's Earls Court 2, and are offering free taster sessions of some of its marketing training courses. The Institute says the free sessions will give delegates insight into topics such as search engine optimisation, digital marketing, social media marketing, developing effective websites, and best practice for email marketing, as well as the Institute's recently updated qualification, the Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. The seminars will take place on 24 February 2010, the second day of the TFM&A event. The Institute has announced the following session timings and titles:
Attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Commenting on the event David Thorp, director of research and professional development at the Institute said: We are very happy to partner with the TFM&A event again this year as it is important for professional marketers to have the technical knowledge to support what they do - in terms of being able to deliver positive value to their organisations. "Marketing is as accountable as any other profession and needs to be able to demonstrate the tangible benefits it adds to the financial bottom line. Our complimentary seminars will give visitors a taste of what our professional courses and qualifications can provide; to not only the benefit of their own future careers but also the organisations they work for."
