With the support of Venture Wales, HCE has opened a £350,000 log cabin training centre north of Cardiff in the rural setting of Creigiau. HFC says the centre will enable it to offer training rooms, accommodation and more permanent team building tasks to build on the adventure training facility which has been running run from Hensol Castle for the past 12 years. Nick Lyons, HCE managing director, said: "One of our main attractions is our surroundings. The log cabin is set in 30 acres of woodland and over looks a four acre lake. It ticks all the boxes for corporate organisations looking to use outdoor and indoor activities as part of their training or to improve staff morale or build customer relations." With the opening of the new log cabin, HCE is now able to offer a range of adventure days and training programmes from creative problem solving skills to orienteering and adventure challenge courses.
