The 'Steam Bake & Thrill' activity, available for groups of 12–20 people at a number of properties including Holborn Bars and West One in central London, takes place in the venues' Steam Bake & Grill restaurants. Participants are challenged to create a mouth watering two-course menu for their opponents. In just 45 minutes, teams must plan, cook and present their dishes. And it's not all about the cooking – participants must also ensure that their guests are looked after front of house with cocktails, wines and table arrangements. Joanne Monk, people and development director at De Vere Venues, said: "We feel that Steam Bake & Thrill will be a real success in the team building arena. "Nowadays so many people are interested in creating and enjoying fine food and wine – and Steam Bake & Grill is already proving hugely popular. "Communication is vital in the kitchen and Steam Bake & Thrill is a great way of getting teams to work together effectively." De Vere Venues first launched 'Steam Bake & Grill' last October. The restaurant concept can be found at five De Vere Venues and is being rolled out throughout the business.
