According to the Institute, the service can be used to diagnose skills gaps, provide guidance on new career paths and suggest development methods. The organisation says the new online tool will give members access to downloadable tips, expert advice and self-analysis tools to support them through each stage of their career. Neil Southern, director of membership development at the Chartered Management Institute, said: "The days of a linear career are over and employees must take responsibility for the currency of their skills and future employability. "This new tool will help ensure that they are properly prepared when seeking new opportunities and have access to the latest management guidance to help them get there."
