According to Gillian Holdom, Director of the Møller Centre, the move to full time opening is in direct response to client demand. “We all find it difficult to fit in the myriad of things we have to do each day, and one of the challenges clients tell they are facing is ensuring that training and development remains high on the priority ‘to do’ list. "As a result, clients increasingly want to carry their events over to weekends, or run specially designed weekend events and retreats with the emphasis as much on learning as on the social side to encourage team and relationship building. "To ensure we are able to offer consistently high service levels with the same professional team that support our clients during the normal working week, we decided to open the Centre every weekend rather than on an ad hoc basis to achieve that continuity for our clients." The Møller Centre features16 training/conference rooms (including a 97 seat lecture theatre), a management resource lounge with PC workstations, and wireless broadband internet access throughout. "Although as any organiser or trainer knows a successful learning, teambuilding or communication event is not just about the facilities that are on offer, but the service their delegates receive," said Holdom. "Like our clients, we understand the value of continuous training and development. As we don’t operate as a hotel or other multi-function venue, we are able to recruit and continually develop a professional event support team, from reception through to kitchen staff, who are totally focused on providing the high level of personal attention and specialist service that business clients require."
