Twyn yr Hydd House in Margam Park was built by the Margam Castle Estate Manager for his family over 150 years ago, and is home to training and development provider trainingwales. Pat Crimp, head of events, sponsorship and business tourism at Visit Wales, said: "To achieve Platinum status is a great coup for Twyn yr Hydd, establishing it as one of the finest conferencing locations in Wales. Only 29 other venues in Wales have reached this level in the past year. "The Platinum award provides businesses and companies with a recognised stamp of approval of the level the venue offers, helping them to market themselves as prime locations to do business." Ross Evans, commercial manager of trainingwales said: "This accreditation puts us up there with other elite conference, meeting and exhibitions venues in Wales. We already recognise benefits we offer to our clients by having such fantastic facilities, but to have this external accreditation really means something else. "While we provide state of the art video conferencing suites and conference rooms with PC's and presentation equipment including interactive white boards, the setting itself is what really sets us apart as an ideal conference destination." Twyn yr Hydd House is in the grounds of Margam Country Park located a few minutes from junction 38 of the M4. The venue offers five rooms that can be used for board meetings, team building or training courses.
